Stet means let it stand
Stet is the proofreader’s mark: restore the original. A useful review agent needs that instinct. Stetrel is named for the other half of the job, knowing when the code should stay. Rahul wrote this note the week the first GitHub comment shipped with a green stet chip.
Why the whole-repo index belongs in review
A diff is a question. Neighbors in the graph are the answer. Embeddings without callers produce style nits. Callers without embeddings miss the renamed helper. We retrieve both before the comment is written.
Reviewing agent-authored diffs
When a coding agent opens the PR, Stetrel is a second reader with a separate memory. Humans still merge. Guidelines files are how you tell both authors the house rules once.

Security
- Repo permissions are least-privilege. Selected repos only. No default-branch write.
- Private code stays out of training by default. Floor and Press learning uses your org’s review comments inside that org.
- VPC and air-gapped packs keep source, embeddings, and logs in your account.
- SaaS subprocessors are listed in-app after you sign in.
- We will publish a SOC 2 report when we hold one. Until then, Press customers get a written control list from [email protected].
- To report a vulnerability, write [email protected] with the subject “security”.

Privacy
Effective 13 August 2026. Stetrel processes source code, pull request metadata, and review comments to provide the service you request.
What we process
Repository contents on selected repos, pull request diffs, comment bodies you write, account emails, and billing seat lists. On Floor and Press, optional learning stores dismissed and accepted comments inside your org boundary.
What we do with it
Build a private index, retrieve neighbors, post review comments, bill committers, and (if you opt in) tune house voice. Private code stays out of training for other customers.
Retention and deletion
On uninstall we delete the index, stored diffs, and learning records within 30 days. Billing invoices are kept for seven years where tax law requires it. You may request deletion sooner by writing [email protected].
Subprocessors
SaaS subprocessors for hosting, email, and payment are listed in-app. VPC customers can run with zero Stetrel-hosted subprocessors after first boot.

Terms
Effective 13 August 2026. By installing the Git app or calling the API you agree to these terms with Stetrel.
Service
We provide AI code review: indexing, retrieval, and comments. Merges, secret rotation, and legal advice stay with you. You remain responsible for what you ship.
Seats
A committer is anyone who opens or pushes to a pull request Stetrel sees in the billing month. Bots you exclude in settings are free. Desk, Floor, and Press prices are listed on Pricing.
Acceptable use
You may only point Stetrel at repositories you have rights to. Probing another customer’s index, or reselling comments as a competing review service, needs a written API schedule from [email protected].
Warranties
The service is provided as available. Comments can miss bugs. Keep human review on the path to production. Liability for paid months is capped at the fees you paid in the prior three months, except for willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict rules. Venue is San Francisco County.
