Let this stand, or mark it.

Stetrel is an AI code-review service: index, retrieve, comment, optionally install in your cloud. Independent company. This site describes Stetrel.

About the name

From stet, the proofreader’s mark meaning “let this stand.” A review agent that knows what to keep. Pronunciation: STET-rel.

Rahul Vaidya founded the desk in 2024 after too many reviews that cited a helper nobody had opened. He still writes the comment contract. Reach him at [email protected].

Desk

Rahul Vaidya

Founder and chief executive

Owns the index contract, the stet voice, and VPC first-boot. [email protected]

Mira Chen

Indexing

Private graphs, incremental refresh on push, monorepo package cuts. She keeps the tree honest when you merge.

From the desk

Stet means let it stand

Stet is the proofreader’s mark: restore the original. A useful review agent needs that instinct. Stetrel is named for the other half of the job, knowing when the code should stay. Rahul wrote this note the week the first GitHub comment shipped with a green stet chip.

Why the whole-repo index belongs in review

A diff is a question. Neighbors in the graph are the answer. Embeddings without callers produce style nits. Callers without embeddings miss the renamed helper. We retrieve both before the comment is written.

Reviewing agent-authored diffs

When a coding agent opens the PR, Stetrel is a second reader with a separate memory. Humans still merge. Guidelines files are how you tell both authors the house rules once.

Careers

Four seats open. Remote, with overlap for Pacific and India mornings. Apply by writing [email protected] with the role in the subject and a patch or paper you are proud of.

Indexing

Incremental graphs for monorepos, language pack work, and refresh latency under 20 minutes for a 2 GB tree. You will sit with Mira.

LLM eval

Paired comment scoring, stet precision, and false-action bounds. You will sit with Tomasz and a sealed eval set.

Install experience

GitHub app UX, GitLab group webhooks, VPC first-boot. You will sit with Priya on Press installs.

Solutions

Walk regulated teams through VPC, SSO, and guidelines files. You will sit with Rahul on the first month of Press accounts. Travel is occasional. Write [email protected] if this is the seat.

Security

  • Repo permissions are least-privilege. Selected repos only. No default-branch write.
  • Private code stays out of training by default. Floor and Press learning uses your org’s review comments inside that org.
  • VPC and air-gapped packs keep source, embeddings, and logs in your account.
  • SaaS subprocessors are listed in-app after you sign in.
  • We will publish a SOC 2 report when we hold one. Until then, Press customers get a written control list from [email protected].
  • To report a vulnerability, write [email protected] with the subject “security”.

Contact

Rahul reads VPC and Press mail. Desk and Floor questions can use the same form.
